Cleeves Riverside Quarter is the first district in Ireland pursuing WiredScore certification for Neighborhoods.

Limerick Twenty Thirty is a dynamic property development company established as a special purpose vehicle of Limerick City and County Council. Our mission is to plan and develop key strategic sites in Limerick City and County, acting as anchors for enterprise and investment development across the region. Our impressive portfolio includes projects such as Opera Square, Gardens International, and Cleeves Riverside Quarter.

The Cleeves Riverside Quarter is a key part of our strategic aim to enhance Limerick’s urban landscape. This 10-acre mixed-use site, offering stunning views of the River Shannon, is designed to provide state-of-the-art residential complexes, modern office spaces, and community amenities. The project is an opportunity to combine conservation and regeneration solutions of international importance with exemplary design standards.

The history of Cleeves Riverside Quarter is rich and storied, tracing its roots back to the 19th century when it was identified as a site for a new Flax Mill by Limerickman John Norris Russell in 1850.  The Flax Mill Factory Building is one of the finest surviving examples of early industrial construction in Ireland and is of national significance in Ireland’s industrial heritage and integral to Limerick’s visual identity. While the 142ft red brick chimney is an emblem of what was one of Irelands largest industrial sites of the 19th century, designed and built for up to 6,000 workers. The juxtaposition of old and new will create a unique ambiance, paying homage to the past while looking forward to the future.

The Cleeves Riverside Quarter development is at an exciting stage, with the masterplan published and work on a planning application for phase 1 progressing well. The comprehensive plan outlines a vision that aims to further enhance the area’s appeal as a dynamic and inclusive urban space. Key elements of the masterplan include the creation of new homes, a new university campus, modern office spaces, and community amenities that cater to the diverse needs of its inhabitants and link back to its riverside location. Environmental sustainability is at the forefront of this initiative, with green spaces, pedestrian-friendly pathways, and eco-friendly building practices being integral components of the plan.

A key feature of this development will be its WiredScore Neighbourhood certification, which ensures that the digital infrastructure is of the highest standard. WiredScore, a global digital connectivity rating system for real estate, guarantees that the buildings have reliable and fast internet connections, robust mobile coverage, and the necessary infrastructure to support future technological advancements. This certification not only attracts tech-savvy residents and businesses but also enhances the overall quality of life by providing seamless digital experiences.

In summary, Cleeves Riverside Quarter, with its WiredScore neighbourhood technology and ambitious masterplan, epitomises the future of urban living, combining historic elegance with unparalleled digital connectivity. It stands as a thriving hub for modern residents and businesses alike, embodying a perfect blend of tradition and innovation.

We are thrilled to announce the WiredScore alignment for Cleeves Riverside Quarter. This initiative underscores our commitment to providing state-of-the-art digital infrastructure, ensuring that our residents and businesses have access to the highest standards of connectivity.
