Our History
WiredScore’s history is one of global-firsts. As a business that champions cutting-edge technology, WiredScore provides the only certification that rates a building’s digital infrastructure, connectivity and technological capacity.
In 2013, WiredScore was founded in New York, with endorsement from Mayor Bloomberg, and support from leaders in real estate, technology and telecommunications.
An idea was born

Two years later, following such great success in the US, WiredScore won the Greater London Authority’s tender to be the official Mayor of London’s Digital Connectivity Rating Scheme, leading WiredScore to launch in the UK.
A truly global certification
Since our New York launch back in 2013, WiredScore now certifies buildings across 10 countries around the world. To date, over 600m sq ft of space has been certified by WiredScore, improving in-building connectivity for over six million people.
The secret to our success is simple: it all comes down to honest, hard work. WiredScore drives impact and generates results, but never forgets the people working at the heart of the operation. We’re in the business of buildings, but we’re a people-focussed company, and that’s what makes us tick.

Looking forward, the future is bright for WiredScore. 2021 will see the launch of a global smart building certification alongside the expansion of our Accredited Professional program.
