Frequently Asked QuestionsCan I become both a WiredScore AP and a SmartScore AP?
Yes. Our SmartScore and WiredScore building certifications are designed to enhance each other, and therefore so do each of the Accredited Professional programs. You will need the relevant training for each building certification before you can work as an AP on a project, so if your client wants to pursue both SmartScore and WiredScore certifications, you will need to complete both programs.
How much does it cost to become an Accredited Professional?
One accreditation costs $1000 (or equivalent if you are outside the USA). There are bundle packages available should you wish to complete both WiredScore and SmartScore accreditations. Prices differ by region and currency. Please register your interest to find pricing for your market.
When will the WiredScore accreditations be available globally?
As the global standard for in-building connectivity, we have plans to expand our Accredited Professional program across the world. Please register your interest now to find out more.
Can I work with clients to achieve WiredScore and SmartScore certification globally?
Yes. As a WiredScore or SmartScore AP you can support clients to achieve certification in any country where our certifications are currently available. Please email us at [email protected] if you want to check the availability of our certifications in a specific country.
How can I find out more about the process of becoming a WiredScore and SmartScore AP?
Please refer to the ‘What to expect’ page. If you have further questions, please submit them via the Registration form. Someone from the WiredScore team will contact you shortly to discuss.
How long does my WiredScore or SmartScore accreditation last?
Your accreditation will last two years from the date that you qualify. If you subsequently achieve accreditation in another specialty, we will extend the length of your existing accreditation(s) to two years from the most recent date you completed an exam.
What are the requirements to renew my accreditation?
You are eligible to renew your accreditation for free if you work with WiredScore to certify a building during your accreditation period and have completed all mandatory Accredited Professional training. AP’s whose accreditations have lapsed and who are not eligible for a free renewal must pay $250 (or equivalent if you are outside the USA) to renew their accreditation.
What happens to my accreditation if I go on parental leave?
We will extend the length of all of your active accreditations for the period of your parental leave. Please email us at [email protected] to inform us about how much time you’ll be taking away from the workplace.
