What is a scorecard?

The scorecard refers to the criteria against which WiredScore assesses buildings to award them with a WiredScore certification.

How do I get access to training when you release scorecard updates?

Scorecards are updated annually to reflect the latest technological developments. As a WiredScore AP, you will get access to scorecard refresher training following each update, which is included in the price of your accreditation fee.

Why is there a single AP program for WiredScore Home but two AP programs for WiredScore Office?

The WiredScore AP: Home program covers two scorecards: one for Development buildings and one for Occupied buildings. There is very little variance between the two Home scorecards, so it’s easy to teach APs all they need to know in a single course.

The WiredScore AP: Office program also has a Development and an Occupied scorecard. However, these two scorecards are more distinct from one another, meaning that there are separate AP training courses for each.

Can I become qualified in multiple WiredScore specialties?

Yes. We encourage professionals who work across new developments and existing buildings, or across the Office and Residential sectors, to pursue many specialties. You’ll need to complete the relevant specialty training for each of our scorecards before you can act as an AP on a certification. Read more about our pricing discounts for multiple specialties here.

Can I become both a WiredScore AP and a SmartScore AP?

Yes. Our SmartScore and WiredScore building certifications are designed to enhance each other, and therefore so do each of the AP programs. You will need the relevant training for each building certification before you can work as an AP on a project, so if your client wants to pursue both SmartScore and WiredScore certifications, you will need to complete both programs. Read more about SmartScore AP program here.

Are there any prerequisites for taking part in the WiredScore AP program?

There are no prerequisites for taking part in the program.

When will the WiredScore accreditations be available globally?
