1 Cal Plaza: Reaching new heights with SmartScore certification
Rising Realty Partners lives up to it’s name with this 42-storey, technology-first retrofit.
In 2021, Rising Realty Partners completed the retrofit of 1 Cal Plaza – originally built in 1985 – that became the first building in California to have a SmartScore certification.
During the retrofit, the design team used the SmartScore framework to choose and prioritize technological features. This resulted in the implementation of a tenant portal, a real-time operations platform, touchless access throughout the building, and more. These features have proven to be very desirable for potential and current occupiers as the higher-than-expected leasing activity proved.
