3rd July 2024, Middle East: WiredScore, the global leader in rating digital connectivity and smart technology in real estate, today announced the launch of WiredScore certification for Homes in the Middle East. This launch comes amid a period of rapid regional growth for the certification body, which has now registered more than 200 buildings for certification across the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and most recently, Egypt.

In line with this exciting product launch, the company has released its latest research report highlighting the rapid emergence of demand for well-connected and smart homes across the Middle East. The report, titled ‘Smart Living: The Trends Transforming our Homes’, reveals that nine in ten residents are willing to pay a premium, of an average 2.3%, for a residence that includes smart technology features.

Fast and reliable internet connectivity from day one is expected as standard by 89% of residents today. Furthermore, almost half (42%) of the population work from home regularly, which means Wi-Fi speed and stability are of utmost importance to the population.

Leading the way, Majid Al Futtaim, KAFD DMC, Alpago Properties, and R.Evolution are the first real estate owners and developers to undergo WiredScore certification for Homes in the region. These landlords and developers are committed to delivering an exceptional resident experience, underpinned by fast and reliable digital connectivity and smart technology features across their respective communities, districts and buildings; namely, Ghaf Woods, the King Abdullah Financial District, Palm Flower, and both EYWA Tree of Life & EYWA Way of Water.
