As we wrap up the first quarter of 2025, we reflect on some of the impactful events that have strengthened our commitment to enhancing digital connectivity in real estate, particularly in our European markets.

The events we attended in Q1 emphasized the growing importance of hybrid work and the need for tech-enabled, connected spaces in the future of real estate.

Sustainability emerged as a central focus, with a strong emphasis on net-zero buildings and the integration of smart technology to reduce environmental impact. The role of proptech and AI in transforming workspace design and usage was also a major takeaway, reinforcing the importance of innovation in shaping the next generation of smarter, more adaptable workspaces.

These insights will drive WiredScore’s continued commitment to creating future-ready, connected spaces.

Key Events in Q1

It was a great opportunity to explore the future of corporate real estate.

Queenie also attended the ULI Philippines Annual Conference, where she engaged with industry leaders on the theme “Hyperconnected Horizons: Redefining Philippine Competitiveness.” The event focused on the integration of digital and physical spaces, future-proofing investments, and transforming offices and retail spaces for a hybrid, experience-driven future.

MIPIM 2025

On March 11th-14th at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, MIPIM 2025 assembled industry leaders to discuss the future of real estate. Despite initial rain, the event buzzed with optimism, reflecting a positive shift from the previous year.

Market insights from MIPIM

Key trends at MIPIM included the importance of ESG and smart buildings for long-term value, and the shift of capital in Southern Europe from office spaces to the residential sector. This move reflects clients’ strategies to capitalize on market strengths and diversify portfolios.

Elsewhere, Germany faces uncertainty due to political factors, while Poland is optimistic with strong logistics and office demand. Austria and Switzerland take a cautious, premium-focused approach, and the Czech Republic and Hungary show interest in value-add opportunities despite macroeconomic concerns.

Demand for energy-efficient, well-connected buildings is strong, with industrial and logistics sectors thriving, resulting in an increased interest in WiredScore for Industrial spaces, signalling the industry’s focus on enhancing digital infrastructure across various asset classes.

While challenges persist, particularly in secondary locations, prime office spaces with strong digital connectivity and sustainability credentials are still attracting tenants and investors.
